Hello Wildcats,

As previously announced by PUHSD, we have modified our Drive-Through Graduation Ceremony taking place here at Paloma Valley on June 5th. Graduates will now have the ability to exit their vehicle and walk across the stage in their cap and gown as they receive their diploma. Each senior will be able to bring one vehicle with their family. Families will enter on Bradley Road to the north of the student parking lot and make their way to the “front circle” where the ceremony will take place. Students will exit their vehicle when prompted and walk across the stage to receive their diploma as their name is called. The stage will be positioned so that families can clearly view this moment from their vehicles and celebrate with their graduates. Cherished Memories will be taking a professional photograph of each graduate to commemorate this moment. As a keepsake, the ASB senior class is providing a printed 5x7 photograph for each graduate!

Due to this modification, the new pick up time for each graduate is listed below by last name.

  • 8-8:30am - Last Names A-Br

  • 8:30-9am - Last Name Bu-C

  • 9-9:30am - Last Names D-F

  • 9:30-10am - Last Names G-Ha

  • 10-10:30am - Last Names He-Li

  • 10:30-11am - Last Name - Lo-Mi

  • 11-11:30am - Last Names - Mo-Pe

  • 11:30am-12pm - Last Names - Ph-Ro

  • 12-12:30pm - Last Names - Ru-Th

  • 12:30-1pm - Last Names - Ti-Z

To protect our staff, we ask that graduates wear a face covering when not in their vehicle. Paloma staff will also be wearing face coverings to protect graduates. Graduates may however remove their face covering for the professional photo taken by Cherished Memories. We still encourage you to decorate your vehicle and their graduation cap to see your creative spirit and personality. Let’s show that Wildcat pride!

If you are unable to come to the Drive-Through Graduation on June 5th, diplomas will be available for pick up in the front office on Monday, June 8th from 8am-12pm.

Jostens staff will be back at Paloma on June 1st from 9-11am in the staff parking lot. They will be able to help anyone who still needs to purchase ($65 cash) or return/exchange something that they got in the wrong color or size. Jostens asked me to convey their apologies that they ran out of certain items in maroon yesterday and that they will have more here on the 1st.

Reminder that all items need to be returned to the Media Center and all fees cleared by June 1st in order to participate in the drive-thru ceremony. The Media Center will be open 5/26, 5/27, 5/28, and 6/1 from 8-12. The Bookkeepers will be open and taking fees in person or via phone on Wednesday 5/27.

Thank you,

Dr. Thomasian
