Link Crew is a mentorship program where Juniors and Seniors help freshmen become familiar with the campus, staff, and culture of Paloma as well as providing academic support and building friendships. The Link Leaders at Paloma are grouped with freshmen to help them throughout the year. Throughout the year leaders sponsor several events to involve the freshmen in Paloma culture. Some of these events include Freshmen Football Tailgate, Club/Sports Lip Sync Battle, Cocoa and Cram, Freshmen Competition Week, Freshie Awards. In addition to this leaders are assigned to College and Career Classes and Freshmen AVID Classes. In these classes, leaders present high interest and impact curriculum. Some examples of the curriculum include goal setting, bullying, leadership, understanding roles, and course selection. Students have competitions to earn spirit wear and other incentives throughout the year by attending school and Link sponsored events, earning good grades, having good behavior, and good attendance and by dressing for school spirit day.
